About SwimScout

SwimScout is an independent guide to public swimming in the Lower Mainland: public swim, lane swim, adult and family sessions, aquafit, outdoor pools, prices and pool features. It is not run by any city, recreation centre or pool.

How we check

• Every time, price, age rule and address is copied from an official city page or the city's own schedule calendar. Each page shows the date we read it (Pacific time).
• If we could not confirm something, the page says not confirmed. We never fill a gap with a guess, and a missing feature does not mean the pool lacks it.
• Every city on the site is read pool by pool from its own official pages. Where a city publishes only about two weeks of times, the times are shown with their dates and say so. Where times were read by eye from a PDF image (Coquitlam and Delta), the page says "transcribed from city PDF, check source".
• Each city page ends with the gaps we could not confirm. White Rock has no municipal pool; its page says so and cites the City council report.
• Pool pages show lane counts, ages and notes only where the city states them.
• Map pins are approximate (from OpenStreetMap searches); use the address or the pool's own page to navigate.

What it is not

It is not a booking site. Aquafit and outdoor-pool sessions may need a reservation; follow the official links. Schedules change, especially around holidays, maintenance closures and staffing; confirm with the pool before you go.

What Unconfirmed means

An item marked Unconfirmed was not stated on an official page, was ambiguous, or two official pages disagreed. The note beside it says which. A feature that an official page does not list is Unconfirmed, never "No". Every item carries a link to the page it was read from.

Time zone and date

All times are Pacific (America/Vancouver). Data last checked Nov 1, 2026.
