Splash Pads and Spray Parks in the Lower Mainland
These are seasonal. As of Nov 1, 2026, none of the 110 splash pads and spray parks on this page is confirmed open: 85 are closed for the season and 25 have no status the city page confirms. Each one lists its season, daily hours, whether it is free, accessible design, washrooms and an official source.
110splash pads and spray parks listed in 17 cities
85closed for the season (official dates or notice)
Seasons differ by city and some cities publish exact dates. On Nov 1, 2026, a card says Closed for the season only when the city says so or its printed season end has passed. Where the page is silent the card says Open now: unconfirmed, never a guess. Squamish has no splash pad yet; the District is planning one at Brennan Park.
Notable gaps
Vancouver: The City's page gives no accessibility details for any spray park. Washroom data is park-level from City open data, not distance to the spray pad. City open data also tags water play at Granville Island (run by Granville Island, not the Park Board) and Kitsilano Beach Park; neither is on the Park Board's spray park list, so neither is included. Wading pools are listed separately on our wading pools page.
Burnaby: The City's page gives street addresses for only Central Park and Confederation Park (from their park pages); the rest have map links only. The City's GIS spray park layer lists a spray park at Willingdon Linear Park that is not on the City's page, and has no point for Wesburn Park. The page does not say whether the spray parks are free, or when 2026 operation began.
Surrey: The City page does not say whether spray parks are free or describe accessibility, except Bear Creek (rebuilt in 2026).
Richmond: Richmond prints one '9:00am-9:00pm' hours line for the group, so hours are unconfirmed per park; Steveston's park page says dawn to dusk. Richmond does not distinguish spray parks, splash pads and wading pools per park, so the type is listed as water play area for most.
North Vancouver: No season or hours were published for Mahon, Lions Gate plaza or the four District parks on the City, District or NVRC pages we could read; the District's social media posts were not used. The Lions Gate plaza splash park is listed by NVRC but has no detail page.
West Vancouver: Ambleside Park is listed as a splash pad location on the District's Extreme Heat page, but its own park page lists none. John Lawson Park's page gives no season dates or hours.
New Westminster: The City gives no street addresses for Hume, Moody, Queen's or Sapperton park spray parks (only Ryall Park, 920 Ewen Avenue). Quayside Park's water play area is out of service.
Coquitlam: Coquitlam's pages do not describe spray park accessibility (only a park-level 'Accessible' tag for Sheffield Park) or list washrooms for Burns, Cottonwood, Galloway, Norm Staff and Rochester parks. The Blue Mountain wading pool is listed separately and is not a spray park.
Port Coquitlam: The City's page still shows the spray parks as 'Open' in November and publishes no season dates, so status now is unconfirmed.
Port Moody: Port Moody's page mentions spray parks at Rocky Point Park only; it does not say how many, or whether the 2026 season has ended.
Delta: North Delta Social Heart Plaza is on the City's Cooling Sites map as a water park, but its page gives no season or hours for the water feature.
Langley: The Township's page gives only the May 9 opening time (no closing date or daily hours). The City of Langley says dates and hours vary and to call ahead. Neither says whether the spray parks are free.
Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows: Maple Ridge says accessibility and washroom access vary by park but does not say which. Harris Road Spray Park's page gives the pool's address, not the spray park's.
White Rock: The City's only page for the splash pad is a 2025 news release: season and hours are unconfirmed, and the City announced a temporary closure in June 2026.
Abbotsford: The page gives no washroom or accessibility information for the splash pads. Abbotsford's page blocked our automated fetch tool; we read it with a normal browser request.
Chilliwack: Chilliwack's page does not give 2026 season dates (only 'closed for the 2026 season') or hours for Central Community Park.
Squamish: Squamish has no splash pad or spray park open. The District is planning a splash park at Brennan Park Recreation Centre; its project page shows power-supply work still being scoped and no opening date, so we list none.
What counts. Spray parks, splash pads, spray zones and other free-standing water play areas run by a city or district. Wading pools are on their own page; paid waterpark splash areas are not included. Where a city lists a feature without an address or hours, we say so rather than fill it in.
